Last pay help

I have worked for the same company for nearly 8 years. We are paid 4 weekly and the cut off for pay is 11 days before payday.

I resigned on 30th May and gave notice until 30th June. The cut off for July (9th) pay was hours worked before Sunday 28th June.

So when I got paid on the 9th I was expecting a full months money (I attended every shift and wasn't late etc, I hadn't taken too much holiday) and then I was expecting my two weeks in hand next month along with pay for hours worked on 28th, 29th and 30th.

What I got paid on 9th was just 3 weeks money not 4 and I just don't understand how this has happened unless I'm missing something obvious. Obviously I did only work for three weeks of four as I finished on 30th June and payday was 9th July but the cut off for pay was before I finished and as I said I think I did two weeks in hand when I started.

What do you mean by the "cut off" for pay? Is it that you are paid for the month leading up to pay day and the cut off for any changes to payroll is 11 days before that?

Lots of people who get paid at the end of a month usually get paid for that month, so if people get paid on, say, last working day of June, that pay would be for the whole month of June.

Are you sure when you get paid on 9th of the month it isn't for the month leading up to that day?

You'll have to ask them though, no one here will be able to explain.
