How to tell manager that the assistant manager is bullying me?

The assistant manager at work has since May been giving me dirty looks and acts impatient with me as well. She also shouts at me to move out of her way when no-one is around. She only does this to me. At first I just thought it was her charactor so I ignored it but it has now got worse. Is this classed as bullying?

Are you making a note of all incidents that make you feel uncomfortable?

You need to make a complaint by writing it all down with facts only, try and keep personally feeling out of it unless its thinks like she makes me feel intimidated.

Has the assistant said anything to you, is there a history that has caused problems.

What is your relationship like with your manager and do you have an HR dept?

Agree with pp, make a note of all incidents.

Do you feel as thought you can approach your managers manager (her line manager?). If so, do this with your notes and explain how you currently feel working with manager.

Be prepared for line mgrs mgr to ask probing questions and ask you what you'd like the resolution to be. For example, do you want to follow a formal grievance, or would you like manager to informally speak to her subordinate and then arrange a meeting with all 3 of you to mediate the situation?

Any form of bullying is a serious, and an allegation of this needs to be backed up with details (dates, times, witnesses if possible).

If you have a HR dept, call them and ask for a copy of the companys grievance policy. You may be able to chat to them about your options to resolve this.
