Watched this last night and it was so moving, if you haven't seen it I really advise watching it. It's called I'll Be Me and follows his final tour just after he was diagnosed with Alzheimers and for me it demonstrated how random this disease is. It was thought that as his music ability was so strongly embedded in his brain it remained unaffected the longest whilst other areas of function declined. With massive support from his family and friends he was able to go one one final tour. Unfortunately by the end of his tour he had declined so much but the love and understanding for this hugely talented man got him through. So sad but I really recommend watching it.

I started to watch this as I thought it was a film. Once I realised it was a documentary about his Alzheimer's I had to turn it off. It was a bit too close to home. My dad has Alzheimer's and his ways of covering up were very similar in the early days. It did look like it could have been very moving.

I saw it on one of the Sky channels. His family were amazing, especially his youngest daughter
