Anyone know where I can find the full set of words for this? The children love it. I think it's less unpleasant that the song they are being taught (by other kids, obviously) at their new school which includes boiling the teacher's head in one verse and putting it in a potty in another.

thanks - but I think there are a couple more verses? Really want to distract the kids from the other song.

We used this at assembley last year, so it will be in school somewhere. I think its in the Heard it in the Playground book by Allan Ahlberg(my copy's in school). I'll check it out for you tomorrow if nobody gets it sooner for you.

Ps my class is doing heard it in the playground at the summer service. We did it for our Head's retiral last month and were asked to do it a the service, only class that has been, so well chuffed.

Sammac's right about where it comes from, and following on from compo's link the extra verses are...

Please, Sir, we're only teasing,
Don't mean to be displeasing,
Help - that's our necks your squeezing!
Early in the morning

What shall we do with the grumpy teacher....(again)

Tickle her toes with a hairy creature,
Leave her in the jungle where the ants can reach her,
BRING HER BACK ALIVE TO BE A CLASSROOM TEACHER,
Early - in the - morning.

I don't know the other one I'm afraid, HTH

thanks. The everybody was a baby once has verses with your mother was a baby once, your teacher was a baby once and "even your head was a baby once". Don't remember the words but they describe typical baby activities. Another good one for retiring teachers
