hi,my ds1 is due to start middle school on weds but today i have heard through a neighbour that due the school wont be ready and open on weds. So i rand ds1's best friends mum who also said she had heard this yesterday from a school governor, but she said it will be closed for two whole weeks!!!!.

this is all because they have had some new offices built on to the school, the builders are behind schedule and are no where near finished, (we walked up today as its not far and they dont even have a roof on, its still all breeze blocks). Now i was told the rest of the school cannot be oped because it is not allowed to be open without an office? Is this right? surley they can work from the deputy heads office or something?

i appreciate rules are rules with health and safety, but arent they leaving it a bit late to tell all the parents if the dont know for definate till tomorrow when they have another meeting?

sorry just had to moan/discuss with some one!

It's more likely that they can't open because of the safety issues of having the builders in, rather than them not having an office. But they should really be letting the parents know what's happening.
