My neighbour's daughter went there for four years. She is badly dyslexic and they basically taught her to read and write properly and boosted her abilities no end. She had a personalised education plan and specialised help. Hugely expensive though - think fees were at least 6000 a term .

Thank you hathead99, its always good to heat about others experiences, especially as the fees are now almost £8000 per term, so we would really have to feel confident that we were making the right choice.

MY friends daughter has also been there for four years, wonder if it is the same one hathead99? There aren't a lot of
girls there. She commutes from St Albans. My own DD and DS have taken her to school, DD loved waiting at the gate with Jonathan Ross and Carol Vorderman whose children also go there.

It is supposed to be excellent, my friends daughter hasn't made as much progess as hoped, they have tried using the Dore program too. They have everything in house, physios, speecha dn language therapitss, optometrists etc, so you don't have to trog round outside agencies for help. Having said that, it was the best place for her, and her parents felt they should try all options and five her every opportunity. They are fortunate enough to be able to afford it.

She is a bright girl, very quick intellectually and verbally. but has real struggles with reading. It has given her a lot of confidence and has helped her cope with new things. I have seen a huge improvement in her writing.

She is moving onto a mainstream school into year 7 at a school with a specialist unit for help
