Dear alexw - oh my goodness - Bless you!!. Thank you soo much for remembering me! I'm really touched.
As you can imagine, I am on tenterhooks at the moment waiting to hear back from NLCS, practically sleeping next to the letter box. The waiting time is the worst.
To be really honest with you, it's really hard knowing exactly what was done with her. She told me several things like they did puzzles with a circle, drawing and other things. The strangest one was that she had to roar like a lion???. Don't know whether this was a figment of her imagination or she was really asked to do that, as it's hard for me to place in what context this was asked.
It is therefore really hard for me to judge how she did. From all the tasks she described there was nothing it seemed I could have prepared her for. She would either know it or she didn't. It wasn't like asking her to cut out a circle with scissors or make something out of playdough. The only thing I take comfort from is that she said she managed to complete the puzzle, and said there was nothing they asked her to do that she found difficult.
I would give my mother away to get her accepted at NLCS!!!, never mind, it's done now and all I can do is wait and hope for the best.
When is your DD 4? Will you be trying her out for NLCS? You guys do a great job as teachers and with you as mum I'm sure she really has nothing to worry about.
I pray mine gets through to the next stage. I'll keep you posted when I find out next week. Kind Regards.XX
