I would be interested to hear any feedback from parents with children in the senior school. Are you happy with the school? Do your children enjoy going to school there ? There is a lot of negative press at the moment, does anyone have anything positive to say ? Thank you

I hope the school have dealt with the year 10 boys caught smoking cannabis on school premises last week.

I have a child who started in Y7 of the senior school back in September, so we are fairly new to HL. My experience, based solely on Y7, is very good. The school suits my child well, although it's taken me a while to adjust to their more relaxed (sometimes a bit disorganised!) style (coming from a very organised and structured prep school environment). I love how integrated the learning is, and how they have opportunities to do Forest School, yoga, History of Art - the curriculum has a lot to offer, especially for children who are not academic powerhouses but who will do well when exposed to lots of things so they can find their areas of strength. Their approach is more holistic than many. My child has settled well, is very happy, and I see her making progress and finding her strengths.

We are happy with the school. Our children are thriving there and we love the pastoral care offered there. Children in the school generally appear happy and relaxed. Most parents I've met seem pleased with the education their children are getting. I wish the etiquette lessons would resume as my children loved them and took pride in showing off to us how to lay a table and how to eat tricky vegetables. A delightful school!

It has a lovely art department, but the academic side is inadequate. What I find particularly worrying, however, is the bad behaviour of pupils and the lack of effective discipline, The latest incident (one of many) occurred last week when yr 10 boys were caught smoking cannabis in the changing rooms. The incident was not openly disclosed to parents, instead we heard from our children. I would have more confidence in the leadership of the school if it was honest and informed parents of problems instead of trying to hide them. The fees this school charges are most certainly not reflective in the quality of education it provides.

My experience at the school was the worst never ever ever ever send your child there, you get given the worst education ever, it is very dis-orginaised. And you will waste your money on a crap school.

I have a daughter at the school, she has been there for five years now, and she is thriving, it is true that the school is somewhat relaxed, bordering on unorganised, definitely not a waste of money or of an education as far as we are concerned.

Absolute chaos since merger with Hawley place. Parents advised a few days after school closed for Christmas break that school was merging. No co sultation with parents. Been chaos ever since! Bullying rife, very little punishment for the bullies!!!!!. Teachers leaving. Head on leave twice I. Four weeks. Just disappeared No one person steering the school. 50+ families withdrawing their children now called Hawley Hurst.
