What do you do if you dont know their homework??

Hiya
Its some time before my dc are in school having any sort of difficult homework, but me and dh have been talking about what todo if we dont know how to help with their homework (as in we dont know how to get the answer!!).
What do you do?

usually homework should be set so the kids can do it themselves using their books and maybe the internet. If really stuck you can always ask on mumsnet Wink, but I don't think teachers mind if something that is too hard isn't done so long as kids have had a go.

Ask the teacher to explain it to you ,ask on mums net

Ds1's school holds mini-courses for parents who want to know how to help with homework etc. They teach the parents about the new methods used to teach things like multiplication, long division etc. Your dc's school may have something similar.

bbconline is really good ,plus i have an old gcse textbook maths to dip into. Im one of the adults who wouldnt pass the exaM IF I SAT IT TODAY,so I need the book .
