Hi Fizzypop - I've got a child that's been through Chase Bridge and one that's still there and I've been very happy with it. It's always hard to know what's going on in a school unless you work there, but I believe behaviour is good and the children are nurtured.
If you email them, they might be able to send you the results of a parent survey they did recently - asking parents how satisfied they were with various aspects of the school.

I've never heard anything bad about Nelson - it has a good reputation locally. I don't think there's much to choose between the 2 schools. I chose to send my eldest DD to Chase Bridge 10 years ago because it had better SATS results (possibly not a very good reason!) but I think Nelson has caught up as far as SATS results go. I sent my youngest DD to Chase Bridge because I'd been happy with it first time round and knew the school, but I'd have been equally happy if she'd gone to Nelson.

Both primaries are good - people round here don't get stressed about primaries - it's the secondary schools we reserve all our angst for!!
