After all the gloom and doom I have felt in recent weeks, here's some fantastic news which I have to shout about

We had dd1's parents' evening today (she's in reception), and the teacher was sooooooo positive about her, in every way! It culminated in her saying that she would like a daughter like dd1 one day.

Gloat away, you are especially entitled after all you have been through as a family emkana (and please don't take it the wrong way, but your dd1 will have been very aware of your preoccupations and empathising with you, ds was very loving and perceptive at this age when I had pregnancy worries).
Settling in to reception is not easy for all children and she sounds like she is a star :)
