Good State Primary Schools in Buckinghamshire??

Hi

We are planning a relocation from Tunbridge Wells to either Berkshire or Buckinghamshire due to my husband's new job.

Other than the fact my husband would need to get to Paddington for work, we have no idea where to start in terms of areas - however we would like to move to an area within catchment for a very good state primary school.

Any suggestions of excellent primary schools worth considering??

Many thanks

Nicola

I have had very good experiences of the John Hampden First school and Wendover C E Junior school in Wendover. They are large schools with 90 children in each year group, which allowed for streaming in Maths and English in junior school.
Bucks also has a wholly selective system for secondary schools. If you live in Wendover and pass the 11+ bus transport to the grammar schools in Aylesbury is provided. Otherwise there is the John Colet school in Wendover which has a good reputation.

The train from Wendover goes to Marylebone which is close to Paddington, and takes about 50 minutes.

Loads actually, will completely depend on how much you want to spend on a house. You also seriously need to look at grammar school catchments, it make a lot of difference.

Near me, Little Chalfont, Seer Green, Elangeni (Amersham), Chalfont St Peter CE and Gerrards Cross get excellent results - the latter two can have catchment problems.
