I'd email the buyer immediately and say something along the lines of 'congratulations! you've won my item! I notice you are outside the UK; as this item was listed as UK only, please ensure you state the UK address you would like the item sent to when you complete payment."

Or something like that.

It's really not much more complicated to send to Germany though, so long as they pay the costs and the communications good. I've never had any problems in the past.

Of course though you can always legitimately cancel the transaction.

sending outside the uk is no different to sending within the UK. Simply send an invoice with the correct p&P and post as usual etc.
If you don't want to send outside the UK in future change your preferences to block bids from countries you don't post to.
Don't send to any other address other than that on paypal as you won't be covered.

I don't really understand the fear of selling to buyers outside the UK - I sell most of my stuff internationally and it's bought mainly by international ebayers, never had any trouble.

I live in Sweden and have bought plenty of stuff from ebay uk, with no problems ever. Sometimes the postage costs are the same as mainland uk, often just a pound more It's no big deal honestly.
