I've never sold anything before-advice from old timers please

I have bought LOADS. But never sold.

Any tips that a newbie might make in error that you can help me to aviod?

Am selling brand new boots (arf), Ikea bathroom cabinet for starters.

Make sure you have really good pictures, taken in good light, with nothing distracting in the background (be careful of mirror reflections!).

Check your postal price on the Royal Mail site (make sure you use a signed for service), so that you don't put buyers off with a too high postage charge.

Give as detailed a description as possible, including measurements where approriate.
