Oh crap, just sold an item and noticed some wear & tear on it that I hadn't mentioned on the sale page. What's the best course of action.

I just sold a nice pair of River Island skinny jeans, they had a bit of scuffing on the hem which I mentioned on the listing. They have a pretty little crystal pattern on the back pockets and I've only just noticed that a small number of the crystals have fallen off, bugger.

Shall I e-mail the buyer and let her know and offer to refund her a couple of quid if she still wants them. She's only paid £6 BTW.

My feedback has been perfect up to now and I don't want it to go pear-shaped.

I noticed a stain on a Barney dinosaur (!!) over the summer, and just refunded the whole caboodle. It's not worth risking your f/b. Ask the buyer if they still want the item with money knocked off, or a refund I reckon.

I've just taken very close up pic's of the back pockets and will see if I can e-mail them to her so she can see which bits have come off. Then I'll give her the option of refund (might just let her have them for a £1.50 or so (to cover the e-bay / paypal costs) or a refund.

I wouldn't offer to let her have them that cheaply - I'd ask if she wants them for half-price or would she like a full refund and I'd offer to pay her return postage.
