Have promised the dc a Wii for Christmas. Have seen a "refurbished" one from a power seller. Ebay shop, 99.6% positive feedback, 36 thousand odd items sold, big explanation of what refurbished actually means, one year guarantee. If you pay by paypal are you covered? It's just such a lot of money. (well it is to me anyway )

I bought a DS from a Hong Kong seller on ebay. Huge amount of transactions and about 98-99% feed back. No problems whatsoever (it's still going strong two years later) but it was a brand new one. Also a bought a refurbished PDA from ebay. Again 99% feedback, lots of transactions. No problems

No.

Friend bought a DVD player from ebay, seller had positive feedback, but when it arrived it did not have a battery which to buy costs loads.

I bought an X Box for DS, and its been fine. To answer the PayPal question,I bought a Lego Star wars model, worth £70 from Hong Kong,it never came, read more feedback, was lousy, filed a dispute, took a while but PayPal refunded me in full, and it was a debit card payment, not a credit card.

In the refurbished info bit it said that some of the items are ones that were bought from retailer and had a cosmetic blemish, damaged packaging, broken seal, or faulty etc. That they were all tested and resold blardy blah.

It was £130.00 when I last looked but only had a few minutes left so who knows, could have gone up considerably. But they will be selling more, and its much cheaper that buying one from Argos/Game etc.
