Looking for some advice from other ebayers. I listed a printer as collection only and the bid was won by a bidder in Cheshire.

I messaged them twice to ask about collecting and then finally opened s bin paid case with eBay to get my fees back.

Buyer has now paid via PayPal ( despite my emails saying it would have to be cash on collection). I have messaged buyer again but if no contact, do I refund in PayPal? And how do I get the fees back if they have paid?

I've got a similar issue.

I posted an item, collection only as its massive, buyer bid and paid via pay pal but now won't respond to my messages about collection.

When I look at their address they are in Birmingham and I'm North London! The item wasn't even expensive, £25.

Makes me wonder if its some kind of scam

I wouldn't say it's a scam, some people are just a bit thick.

Refund the PayPal payment and send them a message reminding them cash on collection only.

If they don't respond then submit a cancellation request.

Thanks both. I was also wondering is it a scam.

Will refund and message again and then ask for a cancellation. Does that mean my final selling fees are refunded?

Yes you will get your fees back, as long it's within 30 days of the sale.

This might be a stupid question but there doesn't seem to be a refund button on PayPal? Do I just take note of the email address and send the same amount over?

And I've just realised I've been charged £4.99 in PayPal fees! Is there anyway to get those back?

Yes just go to the transaction, and there will be the option to refund. When you refund you will automatically get your PayPal fees back. You need to also cancel through eBay thought, to get your eBay fees back too.
