If you have been selling any designer clothes, shoes or bags etc on ebay you may be interested in a site I have recently had some luck with. It is based in Paris and is called Vestiaire Collective. The commission is higher than ebay but no listing fees, no time limit, no postage costs. They email you a pre paid DHL postal note and you arrange pick up. The item is checked by Vestiaire before being sent to the buyer. If VC accept your item is "as described" then that is that - so you don't have to await any returns/feedback from buyers. Items need to be genuine, in excellent/very good condition. Commission is around 1/3 of price but you have a better chance of selling at a higher price than ebay as the site is specifically aimed at fashion loving buyers from all over the world. I have sold 2 items so far after recently seeing this site in Vogue mag and achieved better price than on ebay (one of the items was on ebay first for a week with no watchers and sold within 2 days on VC). Mostly designer but they do take Topshop, H&M if it's the collaborations with designers, L K Bennett, Karen Millen. Also they take vintage but it would need to be a designer & have current relevance.

Thought I would pass on the info as I wasn't too sure at first but having tried it I am happy to recommend.

Thanks! I have a Stella McCartney tuxedo suit H&M, pristine with labels, no interest on ebay, so will try that.

Shame you can only be a Mr, or Mrs on the site, that put me right off.

Not sure what you mean cerealqueen? is that on the "fill in your details" bit? It is a French based site for international buyers so maybe they don't have all the options we are used to?

I have just sold a Karen Millen dress for £70 and a belt also for £70 which is way more than I would have got on ebay (i did try both on ebay first & nothing - even listed at far less than I tried on VC) & even with commission I have cleared £45 each for these. It has been efficient too.

Have a look at what the Stella is going for if anyone else has them on VC - still might be worth it. Designer does not always achieve the best results on ebay for some reason. As this site guarantees authenticity and quality by checking items before sending to buyers maybe people are happy to buy at a higher price and it is not an auction so you can choose your preferred price and if necessary reduce a bit later.

I will deffo use again. They either pay you by paypal or into bank account. I do think your Stella suit would sell well esp new too - very nice!

alltoomuch - On ebay start your item at the minimum you want for it on a free listing day. New rules will penalise you for ending a listing early that has bids on. You might need to try the suit in autumn now to get the best price.
