eBay

Can I complain - seller lying.

We sold our travel system on eBay a couple of weeks ago. The price was a bargain but we thought reasonable compared to what others seem to be going for and we were happy to see it sell for that. We were suspicious that the buyer may be planning to sell it on as her stories were somewhat elaborate but hey ho, it's not illegal. So we were not surprised to see it on eBay today for 3 times what she paid. However, we were very surprised to see pictures of our front room and the out and out lie that it has hardly been used! It has been used almost daily for two years! She has not listed the signs of wear and tear that I know are there. Can I complain or will eBay not give a rat's arse?

yes you can report her for using your photos - that is not permitted. For selling it for more money or other claims ebay won't act on that. But if misdescribed she will prob get a complaining buyer once sold.

Great, thank you! We did expect that she may be looking to sell on but I must admit to be being stunned at how much she's marked it up! However, I think it's a damn cheek to use my photos to do so! Wish I could tell people that she's lying though - I was very honest about the use that it's had.

Might she have refurbed it and repaired any damage? Wrong of her to use your pics though!

I suppose that she may and I'm being unfair. Was just a bit surprised. Photos have gone today so hopefully that's an end to it!
