DD 12 eating has changed

Hi, my dd is 12 tall and slim. Reasonably happy seems to be dealing with the same teen issues as any year 8 nothing extra that I've noticed.

However I've noticed a change in her eating. Things she used to like she's not eating, says she doesn't really like them any more. Meals she loved she's not interested in.

She sits in a different room to eat. If I sit in living room she'll sit in the dining room. If there's something on her plate she knows her little brother likes she'll offer him it. Sometimes she will scrape some food into the bin other times she'll give it to the dog.

My dniece asked her to go for a run today and she said that her leggings don't fit as there too tight and she's bigger than she used to be. Dn asked if thats why she not eating properly and she looked shocked and said what no I'm just not very hungry.

I got her to sit in the same room as me to eat tonight (before the run) and will keep doing it under pretence of 'wanting to eat as a family' but when do I step in and let her know I'm on to her???

I can see what she is buying at school but obviously don't know that she's eating all or any of it.

I wonder why you aren't sharing your worries with your DD? It might be really important to either talk to her directly or if there is anyone else she gets on with well & trusts enough to share any concerns she might have about her body or food?
