My poor thread has gone invisible - if I click on the Draignet topic, it's still empty. Confused Is that just me or should I report to site stuff?

I can see you in active! Helo helo from the foothills of Yr Wyddfa! I’ve been working up on Anglesey today and nearly roasted my face off and it’s supposed to be warmer tomorrow!

Bendigedig! This just popped up in active and I feel all warm inside. Thankfully not actually, it's 30° where I am. Or was. Poeth.

I got on a train full of happy sweating kids heading for Barry Island yesterday and it was the most normal life has felt since the pandemic. (Sadly I was just going to work).

Croeso everybody Grin

This has been the quietest week I have ever known on my street. Normally everyone is out at the front talking half the day - rain, hail or shine but it turns out not in 30° heat actually.

We aren't made for this we keep gasping at each other when we cross paths ...

I have run out of hot weather, work appropriate attire (it’s a total of two outfits, FYI) and I want to cry. Once my boss has left for the day I might relocate to the beach and hover thigh deep in the sea with my laptop…

It’s way too hot and I fear that I shall melt or turn into a crispy dehydrated human shaped piece of jerky.

I live in England now and, genetically, am only 25% Welsh.

However, I feel totally Welsh and know who I'd support in a rugby match.*
And my uncle worked with Max Boyce.

As to the language, I wish I knew more. It was compulsory for the first three years of my secondary school, but I missed years 2 and 3 because my father's job took us to live in South America for a while. For some reason, the subject taught in Welsh in my year 1 was the indigenous people of North America (I'm lying a bit here; I'm so old that we were taught about the "Red Indians").

So, I can't tell the time in Welsh, but I can say "The buffalo are running on the prairie".

*Union, obviously. What is this "league" of which you speak?
