Hi
We are a married same sex couple looking for a sperm donor. We previously had one lined up and things were great until I found out I had some problems, after having these problems sorted he is now 'not available' we are really dissapointed about are very committed to trying again and are now looking for someone to help with this journey. Looking for help, advice and offers 🤞

Hi, where are you looking currently? Are you looking for a known donor or through the sperm banks? We've recently taken the plunge and have a donor from the European sperm bank. Waiting for my next cycle to start IUI.

Hi @steffieIUI we have previously tried with frozen sperm from cryos for home insemination and after that failed we found a known donor from co-parenting.com, we felt that he was 100% genuine and finally found someone else who was brilliant but since finding out I had some problems he hasn t stuck around, unfortunately :(
Are you going through a clinic? We have thought about it and may have to try that route if we have no luck finding another fresh donor but we have already put in a lot financially, it hard. If I could turn back the clock we would have gone straight to a clinic.
Wishing you lots of luck

Hi @Moo8879
I don't blame you for trying the home route I think I'd have done the same but Cyros are no longer allowed to send it to your home address it has to go through a clinic.
My aunt has a known donor who was a very good friend and it's worked really well for them but we don't really have anyone we could ask. I did have a look online at coparenting and pride angel but it seemed quite risky.
It's worth trying Brighton Fertility Associates for sperm donors as they had the best prices by far. Sadly there was no suitable donor there for us as we could have got 6 vials for the same price as 3 from ESB. Also quite a lot of clinics do a 3 cycle IUI package. We are paying £2000 for 3 cycles at UCLH. So all in all for the 3 cycles including sperm it's £4,500. This doesn't include any of the tests beforehand as I had them at another clinic then we switched to UCLH as cheaper/less money grabbing as it's all NHS run. If it doesn't work I don't think we'll invest anymore money into it or at least this is what I am telling myself!

Hi there! Myself and my partner are also looking for a sperm donor for home insemination (poor morphology) and it’s so daunting! I’m on the co parenting website but it moves pretty slowly and so far I’ve only really properly spoken to one donor who hasn’t done it before and has no children so I’m slightly apprehensive.. have you had any luck? I find it so so hard to believe there are genuine donors out there doing it for altruistic reasons

@Zara1234uk I’m a single woman and I found my donor on the co parents website. He is a genuinely nice human and is doing this for purely altruistic reasons. As yet I haven’t been successful but he has been more than accommodating and is just a lovely guy. He was here this evening in fact and he is visiting again on Wednesday.

@Waiting2BAMummy ah that’s amazing then! I’ve very glad you have found someone so lovely it makes me optimistic. I figured that website would be a good start as you have to pay to message so it may weed out some of the ‘strictly NI’ posts! Thanks for sharing Smile good luck

You still get those @Zara1234uk you just have to be very strong about what it is you’re looking for and keep the faith. There are good ones out there. Good luck

I am slightly relieved that our frozen attempts didn't work now cryos have changed their shipping as I would have hated not being able to use the same donor again if needed but it's been such a long haul already I just need a breakthrough.
Coparents is good, and I found both our donors through there, as I said in previous posts I don't believe our first was 100% genuine but our second was very accommodating and it was just a shame he was so far away as that caused a few logistical issues.
Where are you guys? I'm back on the website bit after trawling through last night it's not looking promising in the south :(

@Moo8879 I’m in Cheshire, I’ve had lots of messages off men who are in London actually, is this near you? It kinda feels like a mountain you have to climb doesn’t it! It really sucks that the clinics are so expensive hardly seems fair but we carry on! I hope all you ladies find your donor soon

I highly recommend Pride Angel, my wife and I decided to sign up last year as we knew we wanted to start trying at some point in our future... long story short we both completely fell for our donor and we just knew it was meant to be... 14 months later ( after getting to know him for 7 months) my wife is expecting our baby in 12 weeks time ♥️
