Egg donor pregnancy under 30

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if there are any ladies out there who are currently pregnant with donor eggs and in their 20s who would like to chat about their experiences/buddy up?

I fully appreciate that age is not the only factor when embarking on an egg donation pregnancy, but I have found that (in my experience!) many women on this path tend to be significantly older and so many of the obstacles/life stages/aspects of the journey to pregnancy/baby can be very different!

I do hope nobody takes offence to this post as it certainly isn’t meant to upset anyone in the slightest

Good luck to everyone on their journey and I hope perhaps we can get a little group together! :)

Hi @natalie62663!

Thank you for posting, I would love to chat!

I also conceived from an FET (second go) so it sounds like we are in the same boat!

How did you find the FET? I didn’t find it much different from the fresh round but it was certainly more emotionally draining. How long ago was your FET? :)

Oh right I see! I have absolutely everything crossed for you ❤️ It is so hard not to analyse every little thing isn’t it? I know I drove myself crazy in the 2ww! Did you transfer one or two? Have you got much planned to help the time go by? I was naughty and did tests during my second go although I didn’t with the first.

I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriage, we had the same thing, MMC at around 9 weeks. It’s so cruel when you’ve been through so much to get there.

Im in my third trimester so only a couple of months left to go!

If you don’t mind me asking, have you known for some time you would use a donor or was it a ‘surprise’ when you started TTC?

Well I actually had a still birth many years ago with a previous partner so never thought I would have a problem to be honest has made this very difficult to accept and even more so to think about egg donor....

I am so pleased for you what I wouldn't give to be in my 3Rd trimester! You must be getting very excited!

When did you test? I am thinking I will test early this time... I have to do a urine test on 22 but was thinking of doing it early.... Can't resist Smile

We have been ttc for 4.5 years so it has been a f*ing long road but I hope we are there now...

Hope you are feeling good today

I am so sorry about your loss 💐 That must have been so difficult to live through.

Thank you. I’m very excited but I do still have a lot of fear of something going wrong. I think having such ‘bad luck’ and loss makes you paranoid that something will always go wrong.

I started at something mad like 2dp!!! Got my first positive at 5dp and was miserable as sin for the days beforehand because I’d had negatives. I wouldn’t recommend it but know that I would do it again if I had another 2ww, so feel very hypocritical saying it!

That is a long time. You must have an incredibly strong relationship.

I had never been pregnant before but found out within a few months of coming off my contraceptive that I would need to use a donor - it was a bloody shock given that I’d had regular periods my whole life and no problems!

Did you go NHS or private?

Hey I conceived my son with donor sperm, not donor egg, and I know that is in no way the same thing, but I just wanted to send you my best wishes for the future :)
