Solicitor free half hour

When hubby first left me last year I had free half hour with a solicitor. I decided against divorcing him at that point & was going to wait 2 years as was told it's easier then. However, I really want to divorce him now. Is it possible to have a free half hour again...maybe with a different solicitor? Its 14 months since I saw the last one.

The same solicitor might not give you another free half hour but any other solicitor that offers it will. You can have as many as you want really as it's just really a tool for solicitor to try and get your business.

Free half hours really aren't designed to give you significant advice. It's to give you an idea of what needs doing, what that might cost, and to get to know the lawyers.

If you want proper detailed advice you should expect to pay.

I got quite good advice last year. I don't have any spare money to pay for a solicitor by the time I cover the mortgage, bills & childcare. I'm thinking of a DIY divorce.
