Online divorce

So once my husband realised how much a divorce was going to cost through solicitors he agreed to do the whole thing online thank God!
Looks like the whole thing is not going to cost me more than £1500.
The only thing I am worried about is an online consent order - costing us £250 each instead of a grand, I am worried if we get it wrong he could come back for more money in the future.
Anyone else done it all online?

Try wikivorce forum for advice, I found it really helpful when I did my DIY divorce.

I don't see why you can't / shouldn't use the on line facility, but you should use mediation to reach a fair settlement for you both.

I used the online forms for around £650 (I had to request deemed service) and got a solicitor to draw up the consent agreement, which cost between £250 and £300. We both got an hour or so of independent advice just to get a view of what we were entitled to. That's with no children and no arguments, otherwise of course it would have been more. Thank goodness we happened to run in to each other for a chat before the solicitors took over!
