So the petition has arrived and he will get it when he's home from work.
I'm trying to work out what a 'normal' settlement, based on need, is likely to be in my circumstances. I know they start at 50/50 on the house (mortgaged in his name, but with sizeable equity).
He earns 57K from a full time job.
I earn 6K and I'm on Tax Credits.
I can't get a mortgage as my earnings are low and credit history not good.
There aren't really any other assets.
We have two children aged 10 & 14.
Surely I'd get more than 50%?
I know all cases are different, but my circumstances can't be unusual.
