My dad is in a care home with Alzheimer’s and also vascular dementia . He has been there Almost 4 years . He was diagnosed 10 years ago, at the age of 68. He was already mid stages by the time he was diagnosed. He has been immobile, imcontinent etx for a good couple years now. He is no longer on any medication.
Anyway the last few times we have visited him his eyes have suddenly rolled back in his head and he’s been a bit odd afterwards . My mum asked today about it and it’s happebdjng a lot. She said it happened several times in the hour she visited today. The nurse in charge said it was micro strokes that just happens with the disease.
Does anyone know if this may indicate a big stroke is on its way? Or does it indicate end of life? Or what? Googling hasn’t thrown up any answer and I would rather know and feel a bit prepared.
