I want to get tickets for my mum and I to go to a show early next year but can anyone recommend the best place to get tickets from? Open minded about show we see, both seen We Will Rock You and I've also seen Les Mis and Blood Brothers. TIA

Lots of offers on at the moment for January.

Check the Get Into London Theatre website it is a special promotional thing for January/February. Also Official London Theatre website or Encore Tickets.

George's Marvellous Medicine is great, the cast are fantastic and the kids loved it.

Dd was in it when it toured locally (they use a little girl to play the shrunken granny and a big chicken)

However the OP is not looking for a children's show.

Ha ha, thank you all, as much as I would love to see George and co I can't see us getting to London this side of Christmas. Looking for something for the grown ups e.g. a musical, for after Christmas, in particular as a treat for my mum who would never do anything like that of her own accord but would love it if I took the initiative!

I have recently seen Oliver and Hair. Both were quite good. What about a panto? The one at the Hackney Empire is fantastic!

For a fun girls night out (as long as your Mum is broad minded) there is Priscilla Queen of the Desert. It is great fun.

I recently went to see Legally Blonde and enjoyed it, light hearted, very funny in places. Gay or European had me in stitches.

My absolute favourite is Wicked, spectacular, currently starring Rachel Tucker who previously was in We Will Rock You. Dd adored it too,.

Lion King is a great show, the costumes are amazing.

I would recommend Jersey Boys, Legally Blonde or War Horse. I go to the theatre a lot and these 3 shows really stood out to me.

If you want to know how to get cheap tickets, then this info site I found is pretty handy: www.londontheatreticketscheap.com/ I had no idea that weekday tickets could be more than half the price of weekend tickets!

If they will be going in to London on the train check out the London 2 for 1 website. They have offers on theatre tickets there. We got 3 great seats for Les Mis last year and only paid for 2 of them.

And thinking about it, no one ever asked to see out train tickets!

War Horse is excellent but take tissues!

I would prefer to use TikBuzz.Co.Uk site. It include lots of the tickets like theatre, concert, music, festival, sports, and comedy tickets on cheap prices.

Sign up to groupon- I got front row royal circle tickets for Rock of Ages for £29 instead of £65. They have recently had Chicago, Blood Brothers and 39 Steps tickets as well.
If you liked We Will Rock You, you would probably like Rock of Ages but its not really for under 14/15 and has an under 18 warning. Jersey Boys is excellent as is Wicked, Les Miz, Lion King,Blood Brothers.
I thought Legally Blonde had closed and is touring at the moment.
