Before I fill my stocks with nappies and wipes for my baby arriving I was wondering if anyone knew of decent deals on pampers nappies and huggies wipes in the main supermarkets?

If you look on my supermarket.co.uk it will show all the offers, eg you click on pampers wipes & it shows the price in the various supermarkets.

Don't forget amazon/eBay.

You can usually get huggies/Johnson wipes in a big multi pack from Amazon. They are very cheap compared to buying individual packs from supermarkets. You could try own brand wipes but definitely avoid 'value' ones and surprisingly, Boots own as they're too thin. Some people love Aldi but I think they foam too much. I use Huggies/Pampers/Johnson.

As for nappies if I were you I'd consider shops own brand. They are often a third of the price (cheaper per pack and you get more in each pack). Sometimes you put a nappy on and they dirty it in 5 minutes. I don't like Aldi but again some people rave about them. Boots, Sainsbury's, Tesco, or Asda are all good. You may want to wait until you have your baby as some babies are sensitive to different brands and get nappy rash. You don't want to have loads of nappies you can't use. HTH.

Have you tried Lidl or Aldi nappies? I stuck with pampers for ages, then tried cheaper brands and wish I had tried them earlier, I found them to be just as good at less than half the price.

Don't end up bulk buying if something's on offer until you're sure of the brand you prefer. Pampers nappies leaked on my DD if she wasn't upright. Sound Huggies and Tescos own were better.

Huggies wipes are awful, pampers or even own brand are much better.

Also if it's your first don't buy too many of the first size as my (8lb7oz) baby grew out of them in under a week (myself and DH were 6lb babies so wasn't expecting that lol)....

Aldi nappies are cheapest otherwise asda n Sainsbury big pks are 2 for £10. I never paid more than 10p a nappy with ds who is now 4 and plan the same with number 2 I am due end of this month and have stocked up on some of each sz 1-4 when been on offer so have range brands.

Wipes with ds1 I stocked up on any less than £1 a pk as was an offer then whereas now often wipes are on offer less than a £1 ok Johnson generally 89p somewhere. Aldi sensitive wipes are 64p so have brought some to try n will probably buy those. We have about 30pks of different branded wipes stashed in bottom of wardrobe.
