Despite the awfulness of the Grenfell fire in the UK which was an accident I think, and despite the awful Salford fire recently an incident / incidents took place in Dublin on Tuesday night and, to my knowledge was not reported in the media.
At approx 1. 40 am on Tuesday night/ Wednesday morning a block of apartments had to be evacuated as a fire had been deliberately set in the basement. Actually 3 areas in the basement were set on fire.
2 other fires were set in the Docklands area of Dublin too on that night.
Thank goodness the response from the fire brigade was amazing and no lives were lost.
Apparently two ( very ) juveniles were responsible.
It is mind boggling and truly awful that youngsters would do that.
And to think it hasn't been reported in the media.
What has our society become Sad

Umm... it has been reported in the media. The Indo has something on it anyway and I first heard about it on the radio.

The reason it's not all over the news is probably because there was no major damage nobody was hurt. Tbh, there have always been pyromaniac little feckers firebugs around so I don't think it's a new thing in society.
