Have a look at the Quality Hotel, Clonakilty. I know that friends of mine have stayed there and liked it.

Fota is great for kids. There's a playroom in the hotel and a playground near the lodges and walks through woods and the wildlife park on the doorstep.

Fota is great, the houses are brilliant if you don't want to share a room. And I believe the Quality hotel in Youghal is worth a stay.

Killarney is brilliant too. Great playground, lakes, muckross house, Ross castle, muckross abby.

Not sure about hotels - I live close enough not to need hotels.

Amber springs in Gorey in wexford very good. Second Quality in Clonakilty, Park hotel in Kenmare, Castle rosse in Killarney is ok I thougt it was a bit overrated when I stayed but the kids loved it.. millrace in wexford supposed to be goodbut I haven't stayed.

Oh and loads of people rave about Dingle Skellig but might be too far to travel for just two nights depending on where you are traveling from, and have heard one or two people lately say they thought it was rather dated.
Gleneagle in Killarney also supposed to be ok.

We have stayed in the Quality in Clonakilty a few times. Definitely geared towards young families and Clonakilty is lovely. However the last time we were there it seemed a bit tired and worn and the food wasn't great.

Expensive but worth it.

Inchydoney is a lovely hotel and the location is fab, right on the beach. Have eaten in the pub restaurant several times with children and great food and excellent service. Very child friendly. Haven't stayed in the hotel with kids.

Some lovely sounding options there. Tbh, I don't have personal experience of Clonakilty hotel. Enjoy anyway OP, wherever you pick.
