Sleepyhead VS cheaper alternatives?! Help!

Hi!

Have only heard rave reviews regarding sleepyheads and it's on my list to buy - it was only after strolling round mothercare and looking on amazon that I realised there's much cheaper competitors... any advice from parents who have tried both or can steer me to splurge or save?! Thanks

Some of the cheaper ones haven't been tested for overnight sleeping, so have a warning saying they are for daytime use only.

I was going to get the purflow one (Boots have them for less than £60), but never got round to it, and to be honest I've never missed it. DD is a good sleeper and I'm sure if I'd spurlged on a £140 sleepyhead I'd be putting it down to that.

Thanks @dinosaurkisses I've got an amazon prime account so maybe I could wait until baby is here to see how he's settling and get something delivered next day if I feel like it. Thanks for the info I hadn't looked into safety / overnight usage

I really wanted one, everyone said I should get one, but I couldn't justify the price of them! Also you need to really read around and make an informed choice, as people swear by them but there are some risks. As it happened my baby always rolled onto his side to sleep and midwife said it would be too much of a risk for him because of this so I'm glad I never went for one! He wiggles to the point of squishing himself against the side of his side sleeper so would have been a waste of money for me!

Ive got the purflo one from Boots and it's brilliant and was half the price of the Sleepyhead. DS has his daytime naps in it as he hates his Moses basket

Thanks so much both, I've got a Moses basket for daytime / downstairs and a chico next to me so was wondering if a sleepyhead would be a good piece to transition between! Will definitely do some reading on the pureflo (sp?!) boots one.
