what age for a cabin bed?

Currently expecting dc2 so will need to buy a single bed for ds so that cot bed can be converted back into cot.

Was thinking about a cabin bed as his room is tiny & would be best for storage, but he will be 3.5 when dc2 arrives so not sure if he'll be big enough for one by then.
Thoughts?

Mine was 3 when he had a cabin bed - same reason, had outgrown toddler bed and small room. Its a mid cabin bed - very sturdy with sides

Ooh thats good to know. Was bit worried he might struggle climbing in & out but maybe worth a look!

DD1 went straight into a cabin bed at 2. We put a bed guard on it, and at first she needed a stool to help her climb in, but otherwise had no problems at all.
