Most of DD'S class has been wiped out from Covid. She tested positive on Sunday. What are the chances of rest of us getting it? DH, me and another DD in house. Other DD has had it before Christmas. Adults are triple vaccinated.

Quite likely you ll get it. From our experience this week and last, it's very mild. The self isolation, work disruption is the biggest pain.

Me and my 2 year old currently have it (day 10) and my husband is still testing negative on lft. The 3 of us share a bed as well, he's literally had no symptoms at all so we are starting to think he's escaped it! We are both triple vaccinated! Hope tou manage to dodge it!

I just caught it 9 days after my son tested positive. I was negative all the way through! Dose up on zinc etc and smoothies.

Feels like a ticking time bomb. Got so much on at work over the next few weeks and just hate the thought of having to adapt work etc.

Thanks for replying.

As much chance catching it from this dd as you did your other dd who had it before Christmas.

True Bake, and I wasn't tripled vaccinated back then.

My four year old brought it home from school, and within days we all had it. I'd say it's likely you'll get it, but we haven't been too ill so chances are it'll be fairly mild.

You never know. My DH and both DS4 and DS6 got it at Christmas but I didn't

My four year old bought it home last week and the whole household now has it including my child who had it in December.

Report
Kim82 · 20/01/2022 15:04

My youngest had it at the beginning of December and nobody else in the house caught it. My 14 year old tested positive on Thursday last week and nobody has caught it from her yet either - all lateral flows negative for the rest of the family and we all feel fine.

3/4 of our family currently have it. But there's still time for the 4th 😬

I got it and my 7yo did, but she's on day 7 and I'm on day 11 and DH and 4yo DD haven't got it. We've made no effort to isolate from each other.

My 4yo DD had Covid just before Christmas. No one else in the household got despite her literally coughing in my face at times Envy

DS tested positive this past Sunday, I tested positive yesterday. DH so far has remained negative.

My small child had it last summer, but husband & I didn't catch it. Then we got it at Christmas and she didn't catch it from us.

So, you could be lucky!

My 4yo tested positive on Monday afternoon. I was positive on a lateral flow last night (still waiting on pcr result from yest) - started with symptoms on Weds though.
Dh the same although his lateral flow only positive this morning. Ds who is 8 positive lateral flow last night but only showing symptoms since today.

Hope you manage to avoid it!

I caught it 3 days after my DD (8). DH negative atm. Myself and DH had it in November. DD didn't. It's a bit of a lottery.
