My family are mostly NHS and are relieved. It was getting close to clinics etc being cancelled again. Treatment is improving for COVID, hopefully a vaccine is on the way. It's just a shame they waited until the end of the school holidays. It always seems everything is too late in England.

I work for a central London NHS trust and yeh I'm worried. Winters are bad enough as it is-it's normal to have weeks on end where we're on black alert because of capacity
The lockdown is good in terms of putting the breaks on infection, but the fallout from that then has to be managed. Seeing what the last lockdown did to mental health presentations coming through our ED makes me really fearful for the next few months and years
Also we're tired! We've been pushed to our limits and I am amazed at what our teams have done-we've opened wards and changed around services and put things in to place that in normal circumstances would take 2 years.
Keep calm and carry on-which we will because this is going to go on and on I'm afraid

I think the mental aspect is affecting everyone now 2 of my friends in tears losing their business :-( my neighbour NHS colleagues suffering ptsd !

I'm NHS -a clinician working in mental health. We have been expereincing a massive increase in referrals and admissions to inpatient wards for past few months. I'm imaging this will only now continue to get worse. Certainly not anticipating things getting any better for us any time soon.

I feel for you I suffer badly and more and more people are suffering I know of 2 14 year old committing suicide and someone who lost their business

Not an NHS worker. Full respect to those who are.

We are farmers though and are so relieved by lockdown. Any thing that gives our staff a greater chance of being able to continue coming into work without catching it is brilliant. Or to be honest less chance of them having to self isolate because they were in a pub at the weekend.
