So vulnerable adults are advised to work from
Home or not work.

What about previously shielded children?? School??

I’ve tried contacting my gp this morning about previously shielders and school. The receptionist said it’s not a medical emergency and hung up!

Both my children were shielders and received letters etc. I really don’t know what to do this time round!!

I’m sorry OP I don’t have any advice but I hope someone comes along with some soon. Just wanted to say I’m thinking of everyone in your position - the lack of official advice is shameful really.

There will be letters for anyone ECV according to the latest guidance, it depends what their consultant thinks, did they not speak to you since August? You would do better leaving a message for the consultant anyway, I doubt the GP will decide.

Were your DC individual the reviewed over the summer in light of the new paediatric guidance?

If not, I think you need to get on to their consultant asap as that's the best place to find out if your DC are still required to shield

My understanding, having 2 vulnerable DC, is that they need to carry on and just be careful.

The extremely vulnerable will however need to follow consultant advice.

My two DCs who shielded last time are just following the general advice at the moment. Thanks to the government stopping shielding, schools and employers don’t seem to recognise that official policy may have stopped but the serious risks to health remain the same. 😡
