Do I need to go get another test?

DS2 had a test on Sunday and results came back positive on Monday morning. Monday night I had a fever and given DS test result booked a test for Tuesdsy. My results came back negative. I've now started with a dry chesty cough (plus headaches and muscle aches) and still have the temp.

Do i book another test given I now have a cough or just continue to isolate given I tested negative earlier in the week?

You have to isolate anyway so doesnt seem much point having a test, just continue to isolate.

You’re presumably isolating for 14 days anyway. If you were to have been the one to get the positive it would’ve been ten days so given when your symptoms started it won’t really make any difference to what you have to do isolation wise. If I was me I’d probably want to have one for peace of mind/to know though, but materially it makes no difference.

Yes I'm isolating anyway (although we've been given 2 different dates we can come out by T&T!)

I suppose i want to know just for my own knowledge really as I cant have infected anyone (I don't think) as ive been isolating but don't want to waste tests if I shouldn't be having one!

You don't actually need one as you're isolating anyway but I would want to know if I had it so in your shoes I would get another test done.
