Has the new guidance exemptions been released yet? And does anyone know where I can find info out on staying over in other people’s homes?

More than six in other peoples homes is not an exception in any case (except for existing support bubbles for single adult households), and shouldn't be.

The exceptions that don't relate to gatherings of a single household or support bubble are solely for the purposes of organised gatherings that have specific risk assessments in place and can be easily monitored by local authorities (planned team sports etc, places of worship) and have nothing to do with the individual circumstances of those involved.

What I’m really after is whether children’s extra curricular groups are still able to be held. If classes are over 6 people, Mainly dancing or whether that is deemed a sport.

And on a side note, I’m meant to be going away with some friends, it’s getting a little heated as to whether it’s within the rules or not.

She thinks 6 of us can stay over night together in a house, and I think that’s you can’t and you still
Need to social distance and you can’t sleep over with other households. I would like to link her to the guidance but I can’t seem to find it.

"Yes, you can stay overnight in someone else’s home. From 14 September there will be a new legal limit on the gathering sizes. This will mean that you may only stay overnight in someone else’s home if you do not form a group of more than 6 people. This limit does not apply if you are in a support bubble with the person whose home you are staying in.

"You should ensure you maintain social distancing with anyone you do not live with or who is not in your support bubble. Take particular care to maintain excellent hygiene – washing hands and surfaces – especially when using shared facilities like bathrooms wherever possible.
