DSis has thrown a quandary my way

DSis lives in a currently locked down area. My elevated risk DF is coming to stay with our family tonight, to see his grandchildren for the first time since Christmas. We have maintained a lot of precautions, practically isolating to ensure our home is safe for him. He lives in an area that is not locked down and has been v low rates throughout the pandemic.

DSis found out he is coming and wanted to come too. I asked 'You're not still locked down, are you?' and she told me she wasn't. So I said, ok, if you stay elsewhere.

I have since found out that's not true. It is lockdown where they live.

I'm mostly worried about my DF, and have no idea how to approach this with my family. WWYD?

If she’s been properly distancing and only going out when needed then it’s not her fault people in her local area aren’t doing the same. If she’s a bit lax then yes there’s a higher chance she’ll have caught it. What does your father think?

If she’s in a lock down area then no she shouldn’t be coming, and she would be putting your DF at risk. Yes it’s rubbish that she’s locked down but hopefully if emery one sticks to the rules it won’t be for long.

I would let your sister and your father make their own decisions. If they'd rather not see each other because there's a very very tiny risk then so be it. But I don't think you get to decide for them.
