Redundancy vs return to work bonus

Hi All

I've been wondering if anyone is good with employment issues/law etc and thought I'd take my chances posting.

Some context:
I've been on Mat leave since Feb 2019 and was due back in March 2020. Have since been furloughed so haven't actually returned to work** but have been part of conference calls etc.

I believe I am going to be let go/made redundant shortly due to the industry I work in and current coronavirus social distancing guidelines etc. Other colleagues have already been made redundant.

I was due to receive a return to work bonus in August (paid 6 months after returning to work).

My Question:
Do you believe I would have any rights to the bonus if I am made let go/redundant - considering it wouldn't be my choice to leave?

It's so frustrating as it would be a substantial amount of money (several months salary).

Any opinions welcome!

Thanks so much.

I'd say no since you haven't actually returned to work

I'd say no if you are gone before the 6 months but if after it's not your fault so yes in the same way as people acrue holiday on furlough.

if the six month deadline falls within your redundancy notice period then the bonus would be still due, unless being under notice is excluded but the terms.
