Has anyone tested a child at testing centre?

I have an appointment booked for a corona test at a testing site today for me and my 2 boys aged 1 and 5 and the info says I have to get in the back of the car and swab then myself! Does anyone have experience of doing that with children of that age? How does it work?

How did you get on?
I had to swab my kids, I don’t really get in a car park in the open air why you can’t get out of the car walk to the back get in and swab. I put my youngest in a car seat in the front which was much easier. My older one was much harder as they are a lot more sensitive. That test has come back as non conclusive and I’ll have to do it again. Still waiting for mine.

Thankfully we were all negatives. I was allowed to get out of the car to do the boys tests, I went and worked far away from the few other cars. Doing the 1 year old test was fine even though he didnt like it, I just held his arms down and did it. The 4 year old was a much bigger challenge! He was ok with the tonsils swab but pulled it out of his nose several times. Tricky but so worthwhile for the peace of mind and brilliant, quick and easy system.
