Contact tracing in Scotland - anyone heard anything?

Been prodded to apply, have experience of being a healthcare support worker (in HDU/surgical) and now a second year student in AHP , so ex line manager thought I’d have enough experience and suggested applying .

I filled out all the forms online, and have had nothing beyond a courtesy email saying they would fast track me through to start work ASAP then another saying they need to work out the final details of what the job involves, and where and when contact tracers would be expected to work (I’m hoping from home, very little public transport here now so can’t get out of my village!) and when they do they’ll be in touch .

A bit confused as the news seems to be suggesting they’ve hired a lot of people already !

Just wondering if anyone else is still waiting?

Newly finished student applicant in our household, also just got two holding emails. Only applied Thursday though. Application portal originally said pre checks pending but that has now disappeared so assume HR has verified.
