Can I go and get my son next week?

I know full details have yet to be announced about the easing of restrictions. I'm desperate to go and collect my unhappy son who's 24 and currently 200 miles away. Do you think this might be allowed next week?

Go and get him anyway. You are allowed to move house during lockdown and pragmatism means direct collection by you will reduce contact points with other members of the public.

Go and get him. Surely it's got to be better than him getting trains and buses?

Thank you. I haven't been so far because I couldn't claim it's an essential journey. Also he lives in a shared house with a lot of rule breaking going on so it seemed risky especially as I have 3 younger children.
