Hi,

Looking for recomendations for a place to buy reuseable/washable face masks with a filter pocket (& if they come with 1 or 2 filters even better!) in the UK please.

No judgement please or asking why I want one. There are so many places available to buy them & I'd just like a few recomendations please.

Thanks

We got some from Cambridge mask company back in jan. They are really high quality and can be reused.

Just to let you know that Cambridge Masks are out of stock of all sizes of their masks and are only taking pre-orders which won't be delivered until August!!

They also have a scam warning on their website about a Cambrigde Masks (with the d and g the wrong way round) so be careful you don't go that website in error too.

Bit concerned by the grammar errors on their FAQ page and elsewhere on the website. Is this genuinely a U.K. company? And yes I am looking at the Cambridge page and not the fake gd round the wrong way page they state is a fake on their website.

There's a company called Thumbsie who have started making masks designed for children

We haven't received ours yet but everything we've had from them in the past is fantastic quality and great service

They've got the info on their Facebook page, don't think they are on the website yet

I know there are loads on etsy, thank you. The issue I'm having is most don't have filter pockets and also want some with good reviews.

If you can’t find one I’m making them with filter pockets for people who need them. Give me a PM if I can help

Quite a few on Etsy are the doubles with a filter pocket? If not then maybe ask on a local Facebook group? There are loads of people selling them here, or if you do have a sewing machine lying around there are loads of tutorials on YouTube, and still plenty of materials left in stock. But I would say Etsy is the best bet, maybe try refining the search?

Do you have a sewing machine as there's a pattern for a fabric filter mask on a website called Sarahmaker. I have made some for family but with my health problems I haven't made any more.

One thing I have a concern about is that the wearing of masks will impact on those with hearing difficulties and speech and language needs who rely on lip reading to support their understanding. I wonder what support will be put in place for them.

You can make them easy enough. You don't even need a sewing machine for some patterns. Try YouTube.
