The recommendation where I live is now to use homemade masks when running errands . i will be doing this It’s the right thing to do to help protect the people working in the supermarkets to keep us fed.

I am however, struggling greatly. Every time I bring the fabric to my face I begin to have a panic attack.

I’ve done CBT with my young child so I know all the techniques well and am working to use them to get past this.

I guess I’m just wondering if there are others struggling with this? It would help to know I’m not alone.

OP, I totally get this, they’re horrid. Unfortunately can’t escape them as a key worker, so will just have to suck it up.

However, you’re not alone in that claustrophobic feeling.

I am the same. I am wearing one to the supermarket but can't wait to remove it. I really feel for health workers wearing them for hours at a time.
