I had a bit of a funny month this time, ovulation signs came along twice . Anyway, today I'm either 14dpo or 9dpo - I got BFN yesterday, but still no sign of AF - might test again tomorrow or Thursday...

Anyone else?

Hey there flootshoot! I'm due to start AF tomorrow so in a general state of mild panic. I'm trying to hold off testing till thursday if I haven't started before then but it is terribly difficult

Goodluck with your test

I go through phases of being absolutely obsessive and then being really blase.

Guess which one I'm in now...

Hi all, AF due today but nothing yet. Big interview for a job tomorrow, so not sure if testing int he morning would be a good idea, whatever the result.
Don't want to be thinking about it during the interview!

good luck knittakid, it'll be good to have something else to focus on

Thank you NinjaChipmunk, no AF yet, and although supposed to hear from job about now, nothing has happened yet... I'm dying! i am also drinking water and holding it to try and do a test tonight.

How long should I wat to test? (I mean holding going to pee).

knittakid I've just started a new job (second day today) - so not exactly the best time to be TTC...!! It's the same company I've been with for five years though so not too bad!

BTW, I think they say four hours without peeing to make sure it's good and concentrated (mmm). Good luck!

Af started yesterday morning right on time

Just to rub salt into it someone else at work announced that they have just had their 12 month scan and are pregnant with their 2nd. Of course I'm really happy for them but it was not a good day!

Ho hum...another month begins! Hope everyone else is having better luck

Sorry to hear that tumtum. How long have you been trying?

Thanks floot. That was my 6th month, which I know isn't as long as lots of people but seems like I can no longer claim it's only been a few months of ttc so somehow a bit more depressing then previous months.

Oh well, I'm sure it will all work out in the end! at least I have pretty short cycles so not long to wait until I get to try again

How long has it been for you?

Report
flootshoot · 17/06/2010 21:06

Only the second month - we conceived first month last time so it was always going seem longer this time!

I have short cycles too (usually between 21-23 days, although last month was only 20!!). I'm on CD25 atm so officially I'm late, but as I said in my OP I can't decide when I ovulated this month - I normally ovulate on day 7 or 8, this time I had ovulation signs on day 8 and days 13-14, so I might not actually be due AF until this weekend.

Thanks Ninja! Hope you get something soon.

Have you heard about the job yet knittakid? I hope it's good news.

No job! it is actually quite funny, have been trying for the past 8 months (more or less) because I knew my job would be finishing and therefore I could take some time off. Now it has taken so long that I need to find another job, and this morning a got what was a very very faint line...
whay do they call it family planning? it's impossible to plan!

AF got me today - never mind, am determined to chart this month!!

Doee anyone else find it odd being off the pill? AF is very light so far and minimal cramping which is nice... wish I could remember what my periods were like before going on the bloody pill!

ooh knittakid so there was something positive today!! congratulations on your very faint line, the job thing will sort itself out.

sorry to hear that flootshoot, never been on the pill so can't help you there.

Sorry about my spelling, really must proof-read.

I'll test again tomorrow and see if it wasn't my imagination... thanks for the encouragement NinjaChipmunk flootshoot it was very weird for me comming off the pill, and for about 3 months they were different lengths, which made it v. difficult to chart things.

will keep you posted!

Can I join in?!

TTC for our third! I used ovulation sticks and I'm now day 9 since ovulation. I've been very busy at work which has stopped me from becoming too obsessive, but I've had ovulation type twinges all evening on my right side which is a bit weird.

Test day will be Wed 23rd!

Hoping for lots of positive tests on this board soon!

hiya everyone

Tomorrow I will be a measly 9dpo but have promised myself that I can do a test anyway.

Sad but true, I am wondering whether to use my decent branded one or one of my eBay cheapies!!

I am quite terrified of testing though as last year I missed 3 periods before I finally got a positive HPT - blood tests also didn't show it up either- and by the time I found outI was expecting I had had an MMC. So every time I get a negative, I freak out and tell myself to act as if I'm pg anyway just in case.

Anyway I know that the chances of that happening again are quite slim so logic will hopefully win out and I'll be vaguely relaxed, whatever happens

Good luck to all you weekend testers out there!!

yay to you knittakid!! wooo!!!!

hi loopylou and celia, good luck to you guys too.

well, if i can physically stop myself i'm going to wait till mon or tuesday to test again if no af by then. having chatted with dp we think it was at least a week after af was due when we tested with ds (does that make sense?)

Report
TumTumGnu · 19/06/2010 15:49

I second that Yay to knittakid! and super congratulation added I hope it all goes well and don't worry about the job stuff too much. I'm sure it will all be fine.

Welcome also to Celia and Loopylou.

Goodluck with your admirable restraint Ninja.

flootshoot, I had a mirena in before I started to ttc, so had no periods at all for about 4 years. It was a bit of a shock when I got the first one. I thought I was bleeding to death as it was really heavy. In fact they have only really settled down over the past couple of months and are much lighter now. So it might be that it takes a while for your body to sort itself out after you have come the pill as well. Hopefully it will settle soon.
