I need some advice please..I am about 11 days late and feel sick pretty much the whole time. About 3 days ago I had a tiny spot of blood but that was all then this morning I had a bigger spot of blood so thought it was my period and it was just very late, but i have had nothing more since then. My partner is away for a week so I was trying to wait until he came back before doing a test but I gave in this morning and have just done one which came out as postive and says that I am pregnant...Now I am really worried why have I got spots of blood?

KP - Quite a lot of people experience spotting in early pregnancy....... there are LOADS of MNer's that will be able to tell you their experiences. I think its fairly common and doens't have to mean anything sinister. You're probably best to contact your GP, or Early Pregnancy Unit.

CONGRATULATIONS!

I had spotting in both my pgs, one ended up in m/c but the other is now 11 months old and very healthy, my gp always told me to put my feet up and rest if i got spotting, congratulations!

congratulations

I also had spotting early in pregnancy .. and it was nothing to worry about

I had an early pregnancy scan at 6 weeks (which is the earliest they can do it) and all was fine

Thanks for your messages, this wasn't planned at all and I am feeling slightly overwelmed by the whole thing this morning. My partner isn't back until tomorrow night so haven't discussed this with him yet and also we are going on holiday for a week on sunday morning, do you think I need to go and see a doctor before I go?
