need some advice

I had my period 27th January, was quite normal and on time. I have 31 day cycles which are pretty regular.

15th February i started getting mild period cramps on and off which i thought odd at the time, so on the 21st Feb i took a pregnancy test to put my mind at rest which was negative. I am using contraception (condoms) and have had no accidents, or none that i know of.

Anyway on the 22nd Feb I started my period which was 5 days early. Seemed a normal enough period except for getting very sore nipples on the 2nd day. All in all the period lasted 5 days.

However i still continued to get mild cramps after my period, my breasts continued to be sore on and off and i started urinating a lot more. To put my mind at ease I took another pregnancy test on the 1st march. I hoped that all this was in my head and a negative would show me this, however i got a very faint positive.

Today i took 4 more tests all have come up positive, darker than the previous test but what i'd still class as faint positives.

I can't seem to get my head around how this has happened or how it is possible seeing as i have not missed a period. I don't want to go to the doctors as im worried i'm gonna make a fool of myself.

The other thought i'm having is if it is pregnancy then perhaps its not a viable pregnancy.

your thoughts and advice would be most appreciated.

my sister in law had a 'period' or so she thought and she was pg too. hope you are - very rare to get any sort of a false positive. a line is a line! lucky you

I think you should go to the doctor, because you are getting positive pregnancy tests and you have experienced bleeding. you need to find out exactly what is going on.

Hopefully all is well, but please get checked, you will not be making a fool of yourself.

Thanks for your replies,

Katy can i ask how many positives you got? I got the 1st positive on First Response and then I've tested on 2 clear blue easy, 1 First Response and 1 Early Bird swift and got all positives.

Think I will give it a week and test again, guess if its darker then I'll accept im pregnant if not I'll put it down to an odd experience.

I only got 1 positive on the clear blue. I was 95% sure i wasnt pregnant and was so confused so i did about 3 more all negative, i must of had a faulty one or something.

How many days till you due on .. or how many days past your due on date?

i was due my period on the 27th Feb but got it on the 22nd Feb instead. So I reckon I'll be due on again on the 22nd March now.

It will be 11 days from when i actually bled and 6 days from when i should have, if that makes sense.

Ok so you come on 22nd, come off 27th? soooo if your are pregant you go by your last period (proper one) which would of been start of feb? end of jan?

orrr your due on march 22nd march which would be far to early to show a positive. sooo hmmmmmmm .. 6 days after you last bleed.

See if you have had 2 positives then i would say maybe you are pregnant, i had a period with my 1st baby. Didnt have a clue as i was was on the pill!! so when i found out i was 8 weeks when i thought i was 4 and only realised on the scan.

I've had 5 positives :-(.

I've had 5 pregnancies in the past, 2 mc, 1 full term and 2 TOP's and have never had a period with any of them. Tho they do say every pregnancy is different.

I'ce also never had such a late positive either. Ah i hate guessing games.

Termination of pregnancy. My son has TSC and at the time I didn't know if I had it so couldn't chance having another child with TSC. They were all very sad but just not meant to be.

I've since found out I don't have the mutation but that still leaves any child i have with a 2% chance of having it. :-(

Think the next time i test I will use a digital. Just got to try and hold onto my urine for more than an hour.

Oh sorry to here that, must of been so sad.

It's scarey, all pregnancys there is a worry. I'm currently on AD's and im sooo worried about them harming the baby.

I think being a mum is the hardest job in the world .. i hope you get the result you want.

i find peeing a cup is a lot better at getting results than peeing on the stick .. would you be able to get one soon?

Its going to be sometime next week now. Its difficult getting out with my little boy. I don't mind waiting tho if it gives me a more accurate answer.

Sorry to hear you're worried about the AD's. I totally agree being a mum is the hardest job in the world.

...and i agree peeing in a cup is alot better than peeing on the stick, a lot less messy too, lol
