Do you ov on Mirena? Am I?

Have just read Taking Charge of Your Fertility (waiting to have stupid walkabout Mirena removed surgically and desperate to start TTCing.

Noticed this morning that have v small breakthough bleed, v stringy clear CM (sorry if TMI) and some lower belly aching. Would say I was about to come on, if I didn't have Mirena.

So does this sound like ovulation? And if it is, would there be any point in tracking my cycle a bit so I'm in a good position when I do finally get rid of the mirena? Have a Persona, but some nice MNer advised me so know there's no point using it till the Mirena's gone.

Thanks for any advice.

hiya,

I think you still ovulate on Mirena but not sure so maybe have a google.

I had a Mirena coil, had it removed in march and got pregnant two weeks after I had it removed.Unfortunately I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks. The obstetrican I saw said I should have been advised to wait for a bit after it was removed before TTC.

I would wait for at least one cycle if I were you.

Mumcah, I'm so sorry to hear that.

I didn't get any such advice when I had my first one removed, but didn't conceive for eight weeks so I suppose I did have a bit of a wait.

Do plan to wait a month once it's finally removed, but don't know when it will be yet.
