Hi, I usually have a 28/29 day cyle which would mean my period was due Sat/Sunday. I started spotting Saturday although this has stopped now. I did a predictor PG test Sunday and a Sainsburys one yesterday both were negative.

I feel quite sick, and have an achy crampy feeling low down in my left side.

Has anyone any experience of this?

We are not trying to conceive, but haven't taken precautions this month (sorry TMI).

Thanks

Are you testing with the first wee of the day?
Best to wait 2 days then test again

I tested at lunch time yesterday. With both my DSs I got a + from the day my period was due though, and now 3/4 days late.

I'll test in a couple of days with first wee.

Thanks for replying.

Agree with Eldon-- wait two days. If you can't then test with first morning urine. Is there any way that you may have ovulated later in the month? This can happen if you were sick or stressed. My period was five days late two months ago because I had the flu in the middle of my cycle....

Best of luck!

hello.
No advice to add, but i could have written your post myself. I have tested 3 times (tesco) at different times of the day, 2-3 days apart. The only thing i can think of that might be causing it is hayfever. I've never suffered before, but my eyes have been so itchy, i started taking 1 a day antihistamine's a couple of weeks ago.

Hi AF started this morning. Although we weren't planning a DC3 can't help feeling a bit disappointed now!

aww, i feel for you. [sharing your disappointment emoticon] I know what you mean. We're in the same boat, in fact it was me who said i didn't want another. However, each time the test is negative i'm disappointed. Usually af comes straight away after a negative test but not this month. I even bought a clear blue 2 pack yesterday at great expense, i have one left. It wil take all my resolve to wait until sat morning to test again.

Good luck thrifty, hope you get the result you want.

I am happy with my 2 DSs, and financially can't really afford a DC3, but that doesn't stop me following the trying to conceive number 3 threads .

thanks 2greatboys :-)
tbh i don't know which result i want, i guess its nice for fate to decide :-) we shall see.
Lol at following the 3 threads. Ds is an only, so i guess another wouldn't be a bad thing.

af started today, i feel strangely sad. I am wondering now if we ought to try in ernest for another, or if this feeling will pass.

thrifty - I know how you feel about feeling sad. Something like this makes you seriously think about whether you really would like to TTC.

How old is your DS? Mine are 8 and 5 (6 in October). I worry if we did decide to go for a DC3 there would be such a big gap between the baby and the other two.

My DH didn't seem worried when AF was late, just said if you are you are we'll manage .

DS will be 4 in september.

I dont think dp would mind too much, as we had agreed to try before, but then the recession got in the way!

tbh it was me that decided against it as i didnt think i could go through the toddler stage again. i really didnt enjoy the toddler stage the first time round and i'm going to be 40 in 4 months time. i feel a bit old for it really. however, never say never!

Its good your DH didn't seem worried :-) I'm guessing the bigger the age gap,the less likely they will be jelous of the baby? (maybe)

hey
i have been ttc for over a year with no luck so far. my period is now 5 days late, im always regular 28 day cycle. i have taken 4 test in the last week all with faint positives. i dont know what to think. i took another this morning, also faint positive. surely at 5 days late i should be getting a strong positive? i dont think i will believe it until i do.
Im planning to test on mon morning when i will be 8 days late.

Is a faint positive always a positive?
